SATURDAY, 25 OCTOBER 2008 - MORNING

- VOTING FOR THE FINAL LIST OF PROPOSITIONS

At 9:05 today, Saturday 25 October 2008, with the chanting of the Hour of Terce, the Twenty Third and Last General Congregation began, for the voting of the Final List of Propositions.

The Final List of Propositions will be published in Bulletin No. 37.

Before voting, the Relator General H. Em. Card. Marc OUELLET, P.S.S., Archbishop of Québec (CANADA) and the Special Secretary H. Exc. Mons. Laurent MONSENGWO PASINYA, Archbishop of Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo) finished the Latin reading of the Final List of Propositions, which started during the Twenty Second General Congregation, yesterday afternoon, Friday 24 October 2008.

The Acting President Delegate was H.Em. Card. George PELL, Archbishop of Sydney (AUSTRALIA).

This General Congregation ended at 12.05 with the prayer of Angelus Domini, and 244 Fathers were present.

VOTING FOR THE FINAL LIST OF PROPOSITIONS

During this Twenty Third General Congregation the Final List of Propositions was voted on.

CONVIVIUM WITH THE HOLY FATHER

Today, Saturday 25 October 2008, His Holiness Benedict XVI invited the Participants of the XII Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, to a luncheon at 1:00 p.m. in the Atrium of Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, as a sign of common joy at the conclusion of the intense days of Synodal work.
