Tracking the History of Liturgical Corruption

Tracking the History of Liturgical Corruption

(Mass facing the people…….in the 1940’s)

The Tradition in Action website has been publishing an outstanding and ongoing series of articles by Dr. Carol Byrne, which track the history of the corrupt liturgical movement from the time of Pope St. Pius X.

We are so keen that our readers educate themselves on the history of this liturgical reform, that we are taking the time to supply hotlinks below to each of the 62 installments released thus far.

Dr. Byrne’s series covers everything from the false attribution to Pope St. Pius X of encouraging “active participation,” to the deceptive pre-conciliar conspiracy to spread the “dialogue Mass,”  to the novel and sometimes Protestant 1956 Holy Week innovations of Pope Pius XII, to the Novus Ordo.

Dr. Byrne’s study not only goes into great detail about the methods used by the modernists to promote these “reforms,” but also offers commentary on the often uncatholic nature and incoherence of the particular innovations.

At some point after the series is concluded (and I have no idea how many more installments will be forthcoming), the individual installments will be compiled into a book and jointly published by Dr. Byrne and TIA, at which point it will become one of the more well-researched and authoritative books on the subject in the English language.
